Terms of Service
Last updated: July 11, 2026
The short version: Sitter Unleashed builds and runs your website. You run your pet-care business. You can cancel anytime, your site stays up through whatever you have paid for, your domain leaves with you, and if you are unhappy in the first 14 days after your site goes live you get all your money back. The rest of this page spells that out properly.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between Sitter Unleashed ("we", "us") and you, the pet-care professional subscribing to a Sitter Unleashed website ("you"). You accept them when you complete checkout for your subscription; our payment provider records that acceptance.
2. What Sitter Unleashed is (and is not)
Sitter Unleashed provides website services: we build, host, and maintain a website for your pet-care business, register and manage a domain name for it, and give you a dashboard to manage your content, availability, prices, and photos.
We are not a pet-care company. We do not provide, supervise, vet, insure, or guarantee any pet-care services. You are not our employee, contractor, or agent. Every service you offer through your website (boarding, sitting, walking, day care, or anything else) is provided by you alone, under your own name and your own responsibility. Any arrangement between you and a pet owner is strictly between the two of you: we are not a party to it, and we are not responsible for anything that happens during it, including injuries to pets or people, property damage, cancellations, or payment disputes.
You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your business, including any licensing, insurance, or tax requirements in your area.
3. Fees and billing
The service has a one-time setup fee and a recurring subscription fee. The amounts for your plan are shown at checkout and on your receipts. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
If a renewal payment fails, we will retry it and get in touch with you. We do not take your site down automatically over a failed payment; we sort it out with you first.
If we ever change the subscription price, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before the new price takes effect, and the change applies from your next billing period after that notice.
4. 14-day money-back guarantee
If you are not happy for any reason within 14 days of your site going live, tell us (a reply to any of our emails is enough) and we will refund everything you have paid, the setup fee included. No forms and no hoops. After a full refund the subscription ends, the site comes down, and section 6 governs what happens to the domain.
5. Cancelling
There is no contract term and no cancellation fee: you can cancel anytime by telling us by email. Your site stays up and fully functional through the end of the period you have already paid for, and nothing renews after that. We do not offer prorated refunds for the unused part of a billing period outside the 14-day guarantee window.
We can also end the agreement from our side, but outside of a serious violation of these terms (section 9), we will give you at least 30 days' notice, your site stays up through what you have paid for, and your domain transfers to you per section 6.
6. Your domain name
As part of setup we register a domain name chosen by you and manage it for as long as you subscribe; registration and renewal costs during your subscription are on us. If you already own a domain, you can keep it registered in your own account and point it at your site instead.
If you cancel, we transfer the domain registration to you so you keep your web address. You will need an account at a domain registrar to receive it, and we will walk you through that; renewal costs after the transfer are yours. If you do not want the domain or do not respond to our transfer instructions within 60 days of your subscription ending, we may let the registration lapse.
7. Your content
Everything you put on your site (your text, photos, videos, prices, and reviews) stays yours. You give us permission to host, display, and back up that content, and to resize or re-encode it for technical reasons, solely to run your website.
You are responsible for your content: that you have the right to use it (especially photos of clients' pets and testimonials), and that what it says about your business (certifications, experience, insurance) is true.
8. Booking requests and your clients
The booking feature forwards requests from your site's visitors to you. A booking request is a message, not a confirmed or paid booking: scheduling, confirming, pricing, and collecting payment for your services all happen directly between you and your client, outside the platform. We never hold or process money for your pet-care services.
9. Acceptable use
Your site is for your real pet-care business. You agree not to use it for anything unlawful, deceptive, or harmful; not to upload content that infringes someone else's rights; and not to attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the platform or other sitters' data. If you seriously violate these terms and we cannot resolve it with you, we may suspend or end your service; for anything unlawful we may do so immediately.
10. Availability and support
We work to keep your site online around the clock and to fix problems quickly, but no host can promise a website will never have an outage, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Support is by email at chase@sitterunleashed.com, plus the one-on-one setup call included with onboarding.
11. Our platform
The software behind your site (the templates, dashboard, and platform code) belongs to us and stays ours. Your subscription gives you the use of it for your website while you subscribe; it does not transfer any ownership of the software itself. Your content and your domain remain yours per sections 6 and 7.
12. Liability
We provide the service "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages (such as lost bookings or lost profits), and our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Because your pet-care services are yours alone (section 2), you agree to cover us if we are dragged into a claim that arises from your services to your clients or from content you put on your site.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and nothing in them takes away consumer rights the law gives you.
13. Changes to the service or these terms
The platform keeps improving, so features may be added or changed over time; we will not remove a core part of what you pay for (your website, your dashboard, your domain) without the notice described in section 5. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect; continuing to subscribe after that is acceptance of the new terms. The current version always lives at this page.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute that cannot be resolved between us belongs in the state or federal courts located in Ventura County, California.
